Why I love Canada!!! Happy Birthday Canada! (138 years old)
Canada Day!! Yahooo.... I love Canada Day. I am feeling homesick for the familiar. When you leave something behind, you truly learn how much it means to you. I am meaning my family, friends, and of course today it would mean my home country- Canada! Why do I love Canada? Warm summer evenings enjoying a BBQ with family (on Canada Day), every little town celebrates Canada Day with fireworks and parades, camping in the park with friends (making supper in tin-foil wrap), driving on a highway that is so straight and flat that if you did fall asleep and awoke a 1/2 hour later- it doesn't matter because you would still be on the highway, the lasting horizon and forever sunset, swaying wheat fields, blue, green, and red flowered fields a patchwork of farmers, gravel roads that gave my dad's vehicles flat tires too often, Manitoban lakes (Nutimik... hmmm), summer BBQ in G+G's beautiful backyard (sausage burgers, salad,.. hmmmm..), oh... so many memories.
